There is significance
Between gravestone dates – life; death
Much more than a dash
Inside the bookends
Birth and death
That little dash
For some
Was not so simple
And hardly lived in a straight line
For others
It was too short
And not lived at all.

Nice take on the prompt! I liked “hardly lived in a straight line”

Nice post…Its funny the tombstone is presenting the life frame in such a simple manner… One more creative way to look at things..

Thanks, Carole. I always figured there would be some internal growing-up process to match the trnaoformatisn taking place on the outside, but so far, not so much. I do feel better equipped to find comfort with my inherently oddball self, but that’s pretty much it for maturity :;-D

We all need our lives to hold some kind of significance from cradle to grave, otherwise why did we join the human race.
