The power went out in Bucks County, PA during Hurricane Irene. Half the block was trapped due to the Neshaminy Creek swallowing the asphalt, concrete and grass that the townsfolk took for granted each day. So what does one do when the street is engulfed by the neighboring creek? Break out the kayak!
Darlene, wife and I lived in Bucks County for many years when we first got married in ’83. Bensalem and Oxford Valley areas. Very familiar with the waterways…and the rising water…in Bucks County. We lost no power during Irene but my Mother, who lives but a few miles away, was out for 24 hours almost to the second. Fortunately, no water issues. Look forward to more posts for you…I’m out in Chester County (Thorndale).

Hey.. I am glad your mother only lost power for a short while. And happier you didn’t have any drama due to the storm.
Thanks so much for stopping by 😀
